Great Commission

The universal mission of the church is to save lost souls through evangelism, or the spreading of the Good News of Christ. But the Great Commission is more comprehensive and does not end there. Let’s take a closer look at the blueprint for compelling people into the kingdom by demonstrating the tangible benefits of good discipleship:

What: The first directive is to “go,” which is an affirmative call to action because we are sent.
What: The second directive is to “teach” (make disciples), i.e., to instruct, train and coach.
How: By administering the church ordinances, e.g. “baptism” and communion. (More profoundly, by fully immersing people in the fullness of the Triune God.)
How: By “teaching” and training disciples comprehensively in the obedience to all directives, including special assignments.*

* The local church mission, as well as your personal assignments permeate from “whatsoever [God has] commanded you.” (e.g., God specifically sent Apostle Paul to the Gentiles.)

Our Local Mission

The local mission or assignment of River of Life Church is to supplant hopelessness and harvest the kingdom of God.

Under the leadership of Pastor Richmond, God has given us a special anointing and charge to help people achieve real breakthrough. We draw onlookers as they hear our testimonies, see us harvesting the kingdom of God and witness our protégés being glorified.

Won’t you join us in our mission to set the captives free? You don’t have to be at the bottom of the totem pole to experience glass ceilings or be the victim of oppression. There’s no better time than now to catch the wave and run run with the vision.
