Faith in Action
We believe in the power of prayer and the importance of personal accountability.
We believe that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We believe that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We believe we are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. We believe that we are the light of the world, the sons and daughters of the living God.
We believe that Jesus died that we might live, and that we might experience life more wholesomely and joyfully. That we are made in the image and likeness (similitude) of God, having been called according to His purpose.
Key principles to stand by:
We are the voice of many waters, an exceedingly great and mighty army, flowing in the Spirit and growing in grace, a river that cannot be passed over.
- Prayer and accountability are essential for growth and positive change.
- I am divinely inspired and empowered by the word of God.
- My faith is working behind the scenes even when I are unaware.
- As his beloved child, God expects me to walk in dominion and power.
- Abundance is not an entitlement, but a byproduct of faith, favor and discipline.
- When I flow in the Spirit, I am the spitting image of my Heavenly Father.
- I am strong and unified in the Body of Christ.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
_________
We embrace the message of hope and healing, the promise that God would pour out his spirit upon all flesh.(Joel 2:28; Acts 2:33; Acts 10:45) We envision broken people renewed, households restored, families flourishing like a garden, and underdogs rising from the dust to become more than conquerors in Christ.
Our church has a clear vision for helping people grow spiritually. We mix inspiring talks and lessons with practical training, coaching and resources to give people a comprehensive and positive experience. It’s extremely difficult to make real differences in people’s lives without the delivery of training, coaching and resources. Measuring progress and not just activities is critical to making a lasting impact. (Definition: teaching vs training)
We aim to find a balance between how we do things and what we achieve. Being process-driven means we focus on the steps to reach a goal efficiently. But being results-oriented means we also focus on reaching the desired outcome without being married to tradition. We stay open to change to better serve people, even if it means doing things differently from how they were done in the past. Our main goal is to honor God and find joy and satisfaction in our lives.
Teaching focuses on imparting knowledge and nurturing spiritual growth by transmitting doctrine and fostering a deeper understanding of faith. Through vehicles such as sermons, Bible studies and Sunday school discussions, teaching educates you in the knowledge of truth.
On the other hand, training centers around developing practical skills and competencies. It aims to equip you with practical solutions for managing a wholesome and joyous lifestyle that pleases God. While training includes aspects of leadership development, discipleship programs and specialized ministries, it goes beyond mere preparation for service. That’s the churchy stuff. Practical training must also include workshops, hands-on experience and coaching that emphasize real-life application and manifestation of the kingdom’s principles.
Consider this distinction in Proverbs 22:6, and more comparatively in 2 Timothy 3:16, where the Bible explicitly juxtaposes doctrine and instruction.
Good preaching, teaching, training, and coaching work in harmony to develop you spiritually and holistically. Neglecting any aspect would be counterproductive. Jesus taught in John 8:31-36 that intimate knowledge of the truth frees you. With this understanding, training is the personal vehicle that unbridles and liberates you, allowing the Spirit of truth to inform, govern and empower your life.
Next Step
Let the Holy Spirit inspire and guide you, as you flow with faith and grow in grace. Imagine church as a sports boot camp. We don’t create heavy burdens or suck up all of your time. Coming to our services is more like a huddle. We gather together to share practical instruction and strategies, as well as help inspire you to succeed in the game of life. Just as the game itself is more vital than practice, we recognize the importance of you being out there implementing principles rather than you watching us coach or show off our gifts.
